This is the tenth part of a multi-part sermon series on the Gospel According to Matthew. Dr. Thiel begins by discussing Jesus' entry on a donkey, then comments about overthrowing the money changers, and having the faith to move mountains. He also explains why many who think they are spiritually fine are not. He discusses that the Bible does not teach come as you are, but to repent, change, and have the acts God expects. Dr. Thiel also goes over dress for church services. He goes over what Jesus called the greatest commandments, and explains that they are not burdensome. Dr. Thiel discusses the term 'father' and part of how something like purgatory prayers was condemned by Jesus. He mentions how many 'independents' can be improperly picky like the Pharisees and overlook the weightier matters like judgment, mercy, and faith, and simply do not have the correct attitude to support the work. Dr. Thiel also reads each and every verse in the twenty-first, twenty-second, and twenty-third chapters of Matthew’s Gospel.
