Gentile Kingdom Beast of Nebuchadnezzar’s Dream

This is the first part of a multi-sermon series intended to cover the Book of Daniel. This sermon included an introduction and explained why the so-called "consensus of scholars" are wrong about when this book was written. Evidence from the Dead Sea Scrolls (as reported by 'Smithsonian Magazine') also supports the biblical account. While most of the Dead Sea Scrolls were written in Hebrew, a portion related to Daniel was written in Greek--note: When Dr. Thiel states that the Dead Sea Scrolls were translations, he was referring to Scroll 4Q114, not all the scrolls (they were basically copies). In this sermon, Dr. Thiel covers each of the verses in the first three chapters of the Book of Daniel. This includes name changes (Daniel to Belteshazzar, Hananiah to Shadrach, Mishael to Meshach, and Azariah to Abed-Nego), Daniel and his companions not defiling themselves with unclean meat, obedience to God, Nebuchadnezzar's plans and dreams, God granting Daniel the ability to interpret, the identity of the Babylonian, then Persian, then Greece-Macedonian, then Roman Empires in Nebuchadnezzar's dream, Nebuchadnezzar's temporal declarations of the reality of the true God, emotional reactions are not true acts of repentance, Nebuchadnezzar's image of gold, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego tossed in the fiery furnace, trusting God, not compromising, guarantees from Jesus and the Apostle Paul, God giving a Gentile king the chance to rule rightly, relating the ten toes of Daniel to the ten kings of Revelation 17, the identities of the sixth king of Revelation 17:10, Herbert W. Armstrong' tying in the seventh king with a resurrection of the 'Holy Roman Empire,' toes of clay and iron representing peoples who will temporarily stick together, and the reality that the coming Kingdom of God will destroy Gentile human governments.
