How to Live as a Philadelphian Christian

Many claim to be Christian, but few are. What is the biblical requirement to be a real Christian? Is obedience necessary to receive the Holy Spirit. Are Christians supposed to be ambassadors for the Kingdom of God? Are we to be in the world but not of the world? Are Christians supposed to keep the commandments of God? Is the ability to cast out demons or to prophesy proof according to Jesus? Are Christians expected to have difficulties, tribulations, and persecutions in this age? Are true Christians supposed to marry or otherwise be unequally yoked with non-Christians? Is the purpose of the commandments love? Are we to obey the word of God in this life to build character so that we can one day be sons and daughters when we are deified in the Kingdom of God? Do Christians keep the biblical holy days, avoid unclean meats, and avoid tattoos? What about hair length and clothing styles? How much time should a Christian pray and study the Bible? Do most fail to truly trust God? Does it take faith to pay tithes and give offerings? Is the Christian life to be static? Do Philadelphian Christians support the proclamation work of Matthew 24:14, while also supporting the poor? Do the faithful need to endure? Will those on God's side win? Is God's way all about love? Dr. Thiel addresses these issues and more in this sermon.
