There was an article on MSN by Lisa O titled '15 questions that religious people struggle to answer.' Yet, while the world's religious struggle with them, we in the Continuing Church God have long had answers to them. The first three of those questions are covered in this sermon:
Why does an all-loving, all-powerful God allow immense suffering?
Why does God stay silent when people desperately seek Him?
If God is all-knowing, why did He create humans, knowing many would go to hell? If God knew before creating the world that the majority of people would reject Him and suffer eternal damnation, why did He create them anyway? If God is actually loving, why create beings who are destined for suffering?
Yet, those questions show a lack of understanding the plan of the loving and true God.
In this sermon, Dr. Thiel addresses each of these questions primarily through quoting the Bible as well as free literature put out by the Continuing Church of God. He explains that there is a purpose for suffering, that sufferings are temporal verses spiritual benefits which are eternal, that most people will not approach and obey God His way, that God has NOT condemned the vast majority of humanity to eternal torment and condemnation, that God will give all an opportunity for salvation (the called in this age and the rest in the 'age to come'--apocatastasis), as well as why nearly all humanity will be saved.
