Tomorrow there is a protest against infanticide:

February 22, 2019

This coming Saturday, you just may see many women and men across the country wearing black. You also may find some businesses closed and others not so crowded. These are direct results of the call-in opposition to New York’s Reproductive Health Act.

On February 23, a national day of mourning has been declared in opposition to the extreme legislation that now allows abortion up to the moment of birth, as well as stripping protections for those babies born alive as a result of the procedure or killed in the womb as a result of a violent act. …

“We invite you,” the official site says,” to gather, worship, and pray with us February 23rd. Right underneath the statehouse of New York, where the gruesome infanticide law was signed and celebrated, we will give the preborn the solidarity they deserve. This will be a time of mourning and repentance on behalf of our nation’s sins. Wear black and bring as many people as you can.” https://thefederalist.com/2019/02/22/americans-gather-national-day-mourning-saturday-new-york-infanticide-law/

February 21, 2019 (American College of Pediatricians) — The American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds) views with dismay, is grieved by, and condemns recent efforts by several states to remove all legal protection from infants prior to, during, and shortly after birth. As in ancient Rome, it is now legal in 2019 New York, and soon, potentially other states, to kill a child through exposure, starvation, and/or the denial of medical care. https://www.lifesitenews.com/opinion/pediatricians-group-rebukes-ny-infanticide-is-not-health-care-and-never-wil

Then there is a proposed law in Illinois:

Worse Than New York: Radical Abortion Law Will Make Illinois the ‘Abortion Capital of America’

February 22, 2019

Illinois is considering its most radical abortion bills yet. If passed, pro-life advocates say they could turn the state into the abortion haven of the Midwest, and maybe even “the abortion capital of America.”

The Reproductive Health Act (HB 2495 and SB 1942) enshrines abortion as a “fundamental right” and provides that a “fertilized egg, embryo, or fetus does not have independent rights under the law.”

The bills would do the following:

Repeal a 1975 law that includes criminal penalties for doctors who perform abortions.Legalize abortions up until the moment of birth.Eliminate all restrictions on where abortions are performed.Require all private health insurance policies to cover abortion (even churches and other religious organizations).Eliminate any restrictions on where abortions can be performed.

The law also allows non-physicians to perform surgical and medical abortions. It repeals laws that allow husbands to block their wives from aborting their child, eliminates requirements to investigate fetal or maternal deaths resulting from abortion, and allows minors to receive abortions without ever having to notify their parents.

And something in Vermont:

February 22, 2019

The Vermont bill states, “Every individual who becomes pregnant has the fundamental right to choose to carry a pregnancy to term, give birth to a child, or to have an abortion.”

Limbaugh explained the legislation “is far more radical than the recent expansion of late-term abortion in New York, as well as the proposed expansions in Virginia and Rhode Island.”

The New York and Virginia bills allow abortion for any reason up to viability and have “health” exceptions that are often loosely interpreted to permit abortion on demand after viability as well.

But the Vermont bill “offers a blanket permission slip for any and all abortion, throughout pregnancy, and for any reason.”

Further, the bill specifically dehumanizes the unborn, stating, “A fertilized egg, embryo, or fetus shall not have independent rights under Vermont law.” https://www.wnd.com/2019/02/limbaugh-dems-sicker-by-the-day/#fZEpOiHvKfqQL8GX.99

World Net Daily posted the following:

February 22, 2019

James Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family and the James Dobson Family Institute, … {is} calling on Americans to urge senators to approve S.311, the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which is scheduled for a floor vote Monday. …

“In all my time in the pro-life movement, never did I think I would need to publicly declare my support for a bill like the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act,” he said in a statement on Friday.

“I am truly saddened that we as a country would even have need to protect a child who has survived the horrors of an attempted abortion and has been left to die on a porcelain tray. Shockingly, despite what some politicians like Sen. Murray would have you believe, we do not currently have federal protection for babies who have survived such a procedure.”

“Politicians such as Sen. Murray would have you believe that this bill is an affront to a woman’s ‘health,’” he said. …

The plan comes from Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., who originally called for “unanimous consent,” a procedure that would have accelerated the bill’s approval.

However, Murray blocked it, on behalf of Senate Democrats. …

“Furthermore, New York’s recently passed Reproductive Health Act removed that state’s protection for children born alive after an abortion,” Dobson said.

The abandonment of babies who survive abortion procedures was endorsed by Barack Obama while he was a state lawmaker in Illinois.

Senator Ben Sasse (R., Neb.) brought his Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act to the floor earlier this month in the wake of disgraced Virginia governor Ralph Northam’s heinous comments about infanticide — and Democratic politicians’ refusal to condemn the governor for those remarks. …

In a letter to U.S. senators, a copy of which was obtained by National Review, 17 public-health organizations called Sasse’s bill “a dangerous government intrusion into private health care decisions.” 02/20/19 https://www.nationalreview.com/2019/02/born-alive-abortion-survivors-protection-act-public-health-groups-oppose-bill/

While Gray Langur monkeys participate in infanticide, but humans are supposed to have morals. Infanticide is something all politicians should know is wrong.

When the abortion debate began in the USA, one of the false arguments was that no one knew when human life began. But it is clear that human life starts at conception.

Interestingly, scientists have figured out that at conception, a flash of light occurs:

May 3, 2016 (LiveActionNews) — Abortion advocates often claim as a defense of abortion that no one can really, truly define the moment life begins. Without knowing that, they say, there’s no real argument against abortion. Consider, for example, Melissa Harris-Perry’s insistence that life begins “whenever you feel like it does.” Obama famously said that the question of when life begins was above his pay grade. While the science of embryology has long been settled, it’s still not good enough for abortion activists.

But a new scientific breakthrough might go a long way towards changing hearts and minds: scientists have been able to capture the moment life begins, with a bright flash of light as a new life is conceived…

Human life begins in bright flash of light as a sperm meets an egg, scientists have shown for the first time, after capturing the astonishing ‘fireworks’ on film.

An explosion of tiny sparks erupts from the egg at the exact moment of conception.

Scientists had seen the phenomenon occur in…animals but it is the first time is has been also shown to happen in humans.

(Scientists say life begins at conception with a flash of light. May 3, 2016. https://www.lifesitenews.com/pulse/scientists-say-life-begins-at-conception-with-a-flash-of-light)

Instead of accepting that human life begins at conception, the abortionists called the baby a fetus. They then argued it was not human for many weeks after conception. Then, to extend when abortions could be done, they claimed the baby was not a human life until it was viable outside of the womb. Now they simply want to support killing it up until the baby’s date of birth. No longer do they pretend the baby is not human, now they try to pretend killing babies is a mother’s right.

Killing infants, including unborn ones, is wrong–it is not a women’s health right. Those who think otherwise are endorsing infanticide.

The Bible warns:

20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20)

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, (Romans 1:18)

Regarding SB 311, notice also the following:

Senator Tim Kaine is in a bind. The Virginia Democrat has been confronted in recent weeks about where exactly he stands on abortion rights, and he’s learning that there’s no easy way to make everyone happy.

His latest juggling act is finding a way to pacify concerned Catholic constituents, who wish to know where their Catholic senator stands on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, a proposed piece of federal legislation that would mandate medical care for infants born alive in the context of abortion.

Senator Ben Sasse (R., Neb.) brought the bill to the floor earlier this month, in the wake of Virginia governor Ralph Northam’s comments appearing to endorse physicians’ right to let newborns die, at least in some circumstances. The entire Senate will vote on the legislation on Monday.

Though Kaine has yet to issue a statement on how he plans to vote, he recently responded to constituent inquiries about his stance on the bill with a letter, a copy of which was obtained by National Review. The text doesn’t say explicitly whether he’ll vote against Sasse’s bill next week, but the implication seems to be that he intends to oppose it.

“This bill would establish new requirements for health care practitioners in the case of a fetus who survives an abortion,” Kaine writes. It’s an intriguing turn of phrase: A fetus, after all, is what the Left has chosen to call unborn children in an effort to dehumanize them. If a fetus survives an abortion, presumably it is no longer a fetus but a newborn infant.

The rest of the letter is similarly slippery. “I support the right of women to make their own health and reproductive decisions,” Kaine goes on. “For that reason, I oppose efforts to weaken the basic holding of Roe v. Wade . . . [and oppose] restricting and criminalizing women’s reproductive decisions.” 02/21/19 https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/tim-kaine-suggests-hell-oppose-ban-on-infanticide/

Infanticide is not new.

Abortion is a form of it.

But so is killing infants or not taking care of them so they die.

Anyway, here is some of what Wikipedia has about infanticide’s history:

Anthropologist Laila Williamson notes that “Infanticide has been practiced on every continent and by people on every level of cultural complexity, from hunter gatherers to high civilizations, including our own ancestors. Rather than being an exception, then, it has been the rule.”

The fact that murder has been going on since Cain murdered Abel (Genesis 4:8) does not justify it.

Wikipedia’s article on Infanticide continued with:

In many past societies, certain forms of infanticide were considered permissible. …

The practice of infanticide has taken many forms over time. Child sacrifice to supernatural figures or forces, such as that believed to have been practiced in ancient Carthage, may be only the most notorious example in the ancient world.

A frequent method of infanticide in ancient Europe and Asia was simply to abandon the infant, leaving it to die by exposure (i.e., hypothermia, hunger, thirst, or animal attack).

On at least one island in Oceania, infanticide was carried out until the 20th century by suffocating the infant, …

The historical Greeks considered the practice of adult and child sacrifice barbarous, however, the exposure of newborns was widely practiced in ancient Greece, it was even advocated by Aristotle in the case of congenital deformity — “As to the exposure of children, let there be a law that no deformed child shall live.” …

Infanticide became a capital offense in Roman law in 374 AD, but offenders were rarely if ever prosecuted. …

Judaism prohibits infanticide … Tacitus recorded that the Jews “regard it as a crime to kill any late-born children”. Josephus, whose works give an important insight into 1st-century Judaism, wrote that God “forbids women to cause abortion of what is begotten, or to destroy it afterward”. (Infanticide, Wikipedia, accessed 02/22/19)

Nearly everyone knows the commandments, “Thou shalt not kill” (Exodus 20:13).

The Jews knew them as well as the Hebrew scriptures, which we now call the Old Testament. So, they knew it was wrong.

During Old Testament times, there were people who sacrifices their infants to Molech.

Offering to Molech (illustration from the 1897 Bible Pictures and What They Teach Us by Charles Foster)

God did not approve:

1 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Again, you shall say to the children of Israel: ‘Whoever of the children of Israel, or of the strangers who dwell in Israel, who gives any of his descendants to Molech, he shall surely be put to death. The people of the land shall stone him with stones. 3 I will set My face against that man, and will cut him off from his people, because he has given some of his descendants to Molech, to defile My sanctuary and profane My holy name. 4 And if the people of the land should in any way hide their eyes from the man, when he gives some of his descendants to Molech, and they do not kill him, 5 then I will set My face against that man and against his family; and I will cut him off from his people, and all who prostitute themselves with him to commit harlotry with Molech. (Leviticus 20:1-5)

7 … Molech the abomination of the people of Ammon. (1 Kings 11:7)

Notice what King Josiah did:

10 And he defiled Topheth, which is in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, that no man might make his son or his daughter pass through the fire to Molech. (2 Kings 23:10)

Here is more on Molech:

Drawing of French Rabbi RAbbi SHlomo Itzhaki

The 12th-century Rashi, commenting on Jeremiah 7:31 stated:

Tophet is Moloch, which was made of brass; and they heated him from his lower parts; and his hands being stretched out, and made hot, they put the child between his hands, and it was burnt; when it vehemently cried out; but the priests beat a drum, that the father might not hear the voice of his son, and his heart might not be moved. (Moloch, Wikipedia, accessed 02/22/19)

Infanticide is wrong. Infanticide is murder. Murder is a sin.

Regarding the form of infanticide known as abortion, we have made videos denouncing it. Here are links to two of them:

Abortion, the Bible, and US Debt. What is an abortion? How are they performed? Does the Bible teach that unborn children are still human? Is abortion wrong? How many are being aborted? Has there been increases in US debt since the “legalization” of abortion? Is debt a biblical curse? This is a video.

Land of ‘Free’ Abortions and Debt The State of Oregon decided to make abortions free for those that want them. Does freedom of choice include the right to shed innocent blood? What has happened to the economy of the USA since abortions became legalized? What has happened to incomes since that time? How many babies have been killed since the Roe vs. Wade decision in 1973? Is there a cost to abortion beyond the financial and emotional? What does the Bible teach? What does the Bible prophesy? Dr. Thiel addresses these and other questions. This is a video.

The Bible condemns those that shed innocent blood, as that is something that God hates:

9 So you shall put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you when you do what is right in the sight of the LORD (Deuteronomy 21:9).

16 These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: 17 A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, 18 A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, 19 A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.(Proverbs 6:16-19).

7 Their feet run to evil, And they make haste to shed innocent blood; Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; Wasting and destruction are in their paths. 8 The way of peace they have not known, And there is no justice in their ways; They have made themselves crooked paths; Whoever takes that way shall not know peace (Isaiah 59:7-8).

3 Thus says the LORD: “Execute judgment and righteousness, and deliver the plundered out of the hand of the oppressor. Do no wrong and do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, or the widow, nor shed innocent blood in this place (Jeremiah 22:3).

17 “Yet your eyes and your heart are for nothing but your covetousness, For shedding innocent blood, And practicing oppression and violence” (Jeremiah 22:17).

Babies are innocent. Killing them is the shedding of innocent blood.

The destruction of the USA is coming and abortion/infanticide is one of the many reasons why (see also Anglo – America in Prophecy & the Lost Tribes of Israel).

The fact that US politicians refused to cry out against infanticide should show all the depths of immorality of at least US Senators.
