The Trump Administration released a report on Friday that opposed the European Union and many of its goals (see Trump Administration wants the European Union to change to give more power to individual nations–the Bible, instead, points to reorganizations that will result in the opposite), while some like Elon Musk and Ladislav Zemanek liked it (see Elon Musk and Ladislav Zemanek want EU abolished to ‘Make Europe Great Again’).

Council President António Costa says Europe will not accept political interference in US rebuff

The Council president said the EU will not tolerate political interference in response to a controversial US government document warning of “civilisational erasure” as a result of the bloc’s domestic policies, while stating Washington remains an ally and partner.
European Council President António Costa rejected any attempt at “political interference” in response to a controversial US government document published last week calling on Europe to change course or face “civilisational erasure”.
Speaking at a conference in Paris on Monday, Costa said Washington does not get to choose on behalf of European citizens which policies are right or who they should vote for, in the strongest rebuff to date from a sitting EU official to the Trump administration. …
Costa pushed …, saying “allies do not threaten to interfere in the political life or the internal democratic choices of other allies” and defended Europe’s autonomy to choose its own path when setting policy.
“The United States cannot replace Europe to say what vision we have, and what is the freedom of expression,” Costa said.
US an ally and partner
The Council chief said the US remains an ally and partner, but Europe must become stronger and more sovereign. “If you want to be strong on the international stage, you have to be strong at home,” Costa added.
He also said that Europe should be more confident in its own abilities and strengths on the global stage.

German government spokesman Sebastian Hille said Berlin rejected “the sometimes critical tone directed at the EU.”
“Political freedoms, including the right to freedom of expression, are among the fundamental values of the European Union,” he said. “We see accusations in this regard as ideology rather than strategy.”

By being “strong” and “sovereign,” European Council President António Costa means that Europe needs enough military strength to be independent of the United States.

Europe has been moving in that direction for some time now (e.g. Europe to spend a $1 trillion on its military while the US considers cutting troop support), but this new official policy from the USA will likely be pointed to by certain European leaders that there is no mistaking how the USA views Europe.

Yes, many in Europe will view this as another “wake-up call’ to make military moves.

I met with Col. Dennis Krüger at the General Steinhoff Barracks. The facility was built by the Third Reich on the outskirts of Berlin and later became a site of the Berlin Airlift, receiving the supplies that sustained the city during the Soviet blockade. Now the barracks are home to Germany’s air force. In the courtyard, Krüger showed me a retired Patriot launcher. Made in the United States, the antiballistic-missile system is a pillar of nato air defense, able to neutralize drones, cruise missiles and tactical ballistic missiles.

Recently, though, Germany has begun to look beyond the U.S. for air-defense weaponry. Krüger told me about traveling to Tel Aviv to fine-tune a missile-defense system purchased from the Israelis that can intercept and destroy long-range ballistic missiles in space. On the sleeve of his military shirt, below a decal of the German flag, is another with Hebrew lettering, the logo of the weapons project: Arrow 3. For decades, Germany has been a top exporter of arms to Israel, its commitment to the security of the Jewish state a legacy of the Holocaust. Arrow 3, the largest defense deal in Israeli history, reverses that logic by making Israel a guarantor of German safety.

Krüger said that work on the weapons system turned representatives from the two militaries into a “family,” and that they built camaraderie when his staff waited out missile attacks in Tel Aviv’s belowground shelters with their Israeli counterparts. The weapons acquisition from Israel is “one next step,” Krüger said, “in overcoming our history.” …
Where were “the ‘good’ Germans?” my great-grandfather asked. In jails and concentration camps, he answered, and buried in the earth. But as a refugee, “rescued here on the foot of the Statue of Liberty,” he believed American influence would help secure peace and purge Europe of fascism.

Germany, after decades of pressure from the USA, has been taking steps to greatly increase its military spending.

Germany’s Great Army – Any Problems? WWIII?
At long last, from the perspective of the United States, Germany is stepping up to the plate and greatly increasing its military spending. The politicians in Germany have found a way to bypass the legal limitation on debt enshrined in the Basic Law. This is intended to enable them to develop the military and weaponry they feel is needed to protect themselves from potential threats. The Germans and 75% of NATO feel they have to take these type of steps because they feel the USA can no longer be relied on to help protect them militarily. Politico asked about Germany’s military rebuilding, “What Could Go Wrong?” Could this rebuilding be part of the rise of the “Fourth Reich”? If so, what would this mean? What were the first three Reichs? The so-called ‘Holy Roman Empire’ was the first. Imperial Germany of the 19th century was the second. Adolph Hitler’s Nazi Germany was the third. Can the rise of the fourth Reich be related to a revival of some type of the Holy Roman Empire? The Bible shows that the final King of the North will have a “great army” (Daniel 11:25) and “many ships” (Daniel 11:40). Could that be Germany, which is also working on many military technologies, including supercollider research? Consider, further, that the Bible tells of a power that had been unsuccessful going against a prosperous nation with a strong military before (WWI and WII?), but will finally succeed per Daniel 11:24 and Daniel 11:39. Could the next attempt be World War III and the end of the United States of America? Could the USA be the ungodly/hypocritical nation of Isaiah 10:7 that God says He will use the end-time descendants of Assyria to punish? Are there any prophetic and historic ties between ancient Assyria and the Germanic peoples of Central Europe? There will be many unintended consequences of the Trump-Vance Administration.

I have long warned that the Europeans will position themselves as strong allies to the US until they decide it is time to turn militarily against the US, which is prophesied to happen (e.g. Daniel 11:39; Isaiah 10:5-11).

Because of not accepting and understanding biblical prophecies, many political and other leaders will be hoping for and believing in a false peace. Notice the one who was “great among the nations” will be conquered by friends, who will become enemies. …
The USA was prophesied to be “great” in Genesis 48:19 and is considered by international sources to be great among the nations of the world today
The time will come when the USA and NATO will be no more. NATO or other arrangements could give the Europeans cover for publicly preparing for a military event, while giving it the ability to publicly state that such preparations are only parts of an exercise. The Germans have historically used the element of surprise to gain military advantage—remember WWII and blitzkrieg? Europe one day will turn on the USA (Lamentations 1:1-2, Daniel 11:39; Isaiah 10:5-12). Weapons of mass destruction, and not necessarily just nuclear, will be employed.

With the new National Security Strategy, Donald Trump has again offended the Europeans–which is something he has done for a decade or so.

But now doing so, and so officially, will have major ramifications and Europe will become a major conquering military power and will surprise the USA (cf. Daniel 11:39) as well as the rest of the world when it happens (cf. Revelation 13:3-4).
