Elon Musk clapped back Saturday, December 6, at the European Union after it hit the tech tycoon’s X social media platform with a major fine, telling his 230 million online followers that the EU should be “abolished.”
Following a high-profile probe seen as a test of EU resolve to police Big Tech, the social media platform owned by the world’s richest person was slapped with a fine of €120 million ($140 million) on Friday for breaking the bloc’s digital rules. Musk himself weighed in after the fine was announced, posting on his X account: “The EU should be abolished and sovereignty returned to individual countries, so that governments can better represent their people.” When a user reposted Musk’s comment, he responded, “I mean it. Not kidding.”
“I love Europe, but not the bureaucratic monster that is the EU,” he added in another post.
The fine against X was the first imposed by the European Commission under its Digital Services Act (DSA) on content. Poland’s foreign minister on Saturday sharply criticized Elon Musk after the X platform owner posted that the EU should be disbanded – a message that quickly drew praise from former Russian president and current Security Council Vice Chair Dmitry Medvedev, posting simply: “Exactly.” Radoslaw Sikorski denounced the exchange as “reckless and dangerous,” warning that narratives undermining the EU serve interests hostile to Europe.
“As if anyone still had any doubts about who benefits from all this anti-EU talk about sovereignty,” he wrote on X. “Those who want to profit from spreading hatred and those who want to conquer Europe.” …

The Trump Administration released a new National Security Strategy report Friday that opposed the European Union and many of its goals–see Trump Administration wants the European Union to change to give more power to individual nations–the Bible, instead, points to reorganizations that will result in the opposite. Like Elon Musk, Donald Trump has long wanted the EU broken up.

Europe’s far-right firebrands are rushing to hitch their fortunes to Washington’s new crusade against Brussels.
Senior U.S. government officials, including Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, have launched a raft of criticism against what they call EU “censorship” and an “attack” of U.S. tech companies following a €120 million fine from the European Commission on social media platform X. The fine is for breaching EU transparency obligations under the Digital Services Act, the bloc’s content moderation rule book.
“The Commission’s attack on X says it all,” Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said on X on Saturday. “When the Brusselian overlords cannot win the debate, they reach for the fines. Europe needs free speech, not unelected bureaucrats deciding what we can read or say,” he said. …
“The European Commission appreciates censorship & chat control of its citizens. They want to silence critical voices by restricting freedom of speech,” echoed far-right Alternative for Germany leader Alice Weidel.
Three right-wing to far-right parties in the EU are pushing to stop and backtrack the integration process of European countries — the European Conservatives and Reformists, the Patriots for Europe, and the Europe of Sovereign Nations. Together they hold 191 out of 720 seats in the European Parliament.
The parties’ lawmakers are calling for a range of proposals — from shifting competences from the European to the national level, to dismantling the EU altogether. They defend the primacy of national interests over common European cooperation.

the five core national interests outlined by the Trump administration must be looked at closely.

Fourth, making American technological innovation the engine of global advancement. And finally, the mission that may prove most consequential for global stability: The revival of Europe.

Ever since Donald Trump’s first election in 2016, I have posted that some believe his election and presence would help “Make Europe Great Again”–basically as a military and economic power (e.g. ‘How President Trump Could Actually Reduce Danger Of War In Europe For The U.S.’ ‘Make Europe great again’).
Regarding a “rebirth,” consider that the Book of Revelation teaches the following:
1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”
5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. (Revelation 13:1-5)
The “sea” above is the Mediterranean Sea, and that prophecy relates to the Europeans which border it to the north, and who will, after military conquests (cf. Daniel 11:40-43), also basically control its southern border.
Anyway, Revelation 13:3 points out that the European Beast power looked like it was dying from a deadly wound, yet that is healed. And then we read that the European Beast is considered as a successful military power.
Yet, as verse 5 mentions, that power will not last very long–about 3 1/2 years.
While the world will marvel and follow the Beast (Revelation 13:3b), those who understand biblical prophecies are already aware that this will happen.
And the faithful Christians will NOT be among those that will worship the Beast or Satan the dragon who gives power to that Beast.

I have suggested the the EU represents the sixth king of Revelation 17–see The European Union and the Seven Kings of Revelation 17 and/or watch European Union & 7 Kings of Revelation 17:10.
While the EU will reorganize, it will not change the way that Elon Musk nor the Trump Administration hopes. At risk of repeat, here is some of what I posted yesterday:
And as far as a reorganization goes, the Bible points to at least two. Here is the first:
12 The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. (Revelation 17:12-13)
These ten kings have no kingdom, but are to attain one. Thus, this is not discussing ten currently existing nations–this is a type of reorganization in verse 12. And basically a type of major or great reset (see also Is a Great Reset Coming?). This will result in a loss of national sovereignty. Since the EU may have 30 or so individual nation states as part of it at that time, carving Europe up into 10 ‘kingdoms’ shows a reduction in nation states–the opposite of what the Trump Administration hopes will happen.
Now notice that another reorganization will happen quickly after the first one:
13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. (Revelation 17:13)
Yes, Europe will cease to be some type of democracy and will end up being led by a dictator that the Bible calls the beast.
So, basically Europe will end up the opposite of what the Trump Administration hopes for.
Elon Musk and the Trump Administration can have their ideas, but biblical prophecies will come to pass–irrespective of what many may hope for.
