Greenland remains an issue:

Trump said recently that Denmark and Greenland have resisted his proposal.
“We want Greenland. They don’t want to give it to us,” he said.
The dispute centers on Greenland’s growing strategic importance, as the island sits along the shortest route between North America and Europe and plays a key role in U.S. missile warning systems and Arctic defense. Trump has argued greater U.S. control is necessary to counter Russia and China’s expanding presence in the region. …
European leaders have rejected any change to Greenland’s status, emphasizing that the island’s sovereignty is not up for negotiation and backing Denmark’s authority over the territory.
Greenland Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen told NBC News in an interview published Wednesday the island’s residents “don’t feel safe” amid Trump’s repeated push for ownership. …
Former NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said the alliance remains prepared to defend Greenland under its collective defense framework. …

On Monday, United States President Donald Trump blamed the fight over Greenland for nato’s split. “[I]t all started with Greenland,” he said. “We want it. They don’t want to give it to us—and I said, ‘Bye-bye.’”
The fight over Greenland caused more than just the loss of U.S. faith in the alliance. In January, Europe was preparing to fight the U.S. over Greenland based on details released last month—showing that war between Europe and America is not a far-fetched possibility. …
On January 9, after several cryptic comments about taking Greenland, President Trump stated that if the U.S. couldn’t have Greenland the easy way, the U.S. would have to take it the hard way. Four days later, on January 13, the Danish military was ordered to prepare to defend Greenland. On January 16, a small dispatch of Danish, French, German, Norwegian, Slovenian and Swedish soldiers were sent to the island for a military “exercise.” In the following days, heavily armed Danish fighter jets and French naval assets were sent into the region. This was all done under the guise of a nato operation, but it was obviously meant to deter the U.S. from attacking Greenland. …

Yes, the Europeans were preparing for war against the United States under the guise of a NATO exercise!

As long term readers are aware, for over a decade I have speculated that Europe could attack the USA under the guise of a NATO exercise. Notice the following from 2009:

I suspect that NATO (or some successor organization somewhat like it) will be the guise that will allow a surprise attack on the USA by the emerging European 666 power (also known as the Beast power or the final King of the North). (Thiel B. EU’s Recommendation 666. COGwriter, September 14, 2009)

Furthermore, I have written that Europe would one day be at war against the USA. Plus, I have long warned that the USA would turn its European friends into enemies.

These are unintended consequences of Donald Trump’s statements and policies.

Donald Trump’s foreign policy statements have unsettled many—in the USA as well as foreign nations. He is believed by many to be more unpredictable than Richard Nixon. Many have rightly pointed out that he often acts as a bully.
Greenland
There is also something referred to as the “law of unintended consequences.” There are consequences for the USA, Europe, and elsewhere that have and will occur because of Donald Trump’s statements and actions.
Consider, for one example, that after his reelection, Donald Trump stated that the United States needed to have Greenland for defense and economic purposes. Not only did that offend the governments of Denmark and Greenland, the Danish government then announced that it would greatly increase the amount of money it would spend on the defense of Greenland.[i]
On January 7, 2025, Donald Trump refused to rule out military or economic actions to acquire Greenland.[ii] The next day, European leaders warned they would not tolerate an attack on Greenland and that the continent of Europe was strong.[iii] … One longer term consequence of Donald Trump’s rhetoric may be that the Europeans could decide that Greenland would be a useful place to conduct surveillance on the US and Canada.
Additionally, it is also possible that Greenland could be used as a base to 1) interfere with US military satellite communications, 2) possibly neutralize some US military moves in Greenland, or even 3) a place to also launch an attack against the US, Canada, and/or even the UK. The Bible teaches about a great power who will be destroyed by its friends, who become enemies (Lamentations 1:1-2)—some statements by Donald Trump are pushing “friends” (NATO allies) into being enemies. …
The USA will be attacked by “friends” consistent with the following:
1 How lonely sits the city
That was full of people!
How like a widow is she,
Who was great among the nations!
The princess among the provinces Has become a slave!
2 She weeps bitterly in the night,
Her tears are on her cheeks;
Among all her lovers
She has none to comfort her.
All her friends have dealt treacherously with her;
They have become her enemies. cf. Lamentations 1:1-2).
Notice the one who was “great among the nations” will be conquered by friends, who will become enemies.
The USA was prophesied to be “great” in Genesis 48:19 and is considered by international sources to be great among the nations of the world today.[v]

Yes, the Bible teaches about a great power who will be destroyed by its friends, who become enemies (Lamentations 1:1-2). Donald Trump offending the Europeans is leading to that.

Europe had basically no military interest in Greenland before Donald Trump.

Now, it has troops there and looks like it will use or build military bases there.

Polls are pointing to Europeans wanting more integration if relations with the USA continue to sour. The Bible makes it clear that Europe will reorganize:

12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. (Revelation 17:12-13)

Donald Trump is helping, at least indirectly, to help set the stage for that.

Polls have found that Europe wants more independence from the United States.

Many of their leaders want military independence from the USA.
