I believe deeply in the existential importance of using AI to defend the United States and other democracies, and to defeat our autocratic adversaries.
Anthropic has therefore worked proactively to deploy our models to the Department of War and the intelligence community. We were the first frontier AI company to deploy our models in the US government’s classified networks, the first to deploy them at the National Laboratories, and the first to provide custom models for national security customers. Claude is extensively deployed across the Department of War and other national security agencies for mission-critical applications, such as intelligence analysis, modeling and simulation, operational planning, cyber operations, and more.
Anthropic has also acted to defend America’s lead in AI, even when it is against the company’s short-term interest. We chose to forgo several hundred million dollars in revenue to cut off the use of Claude by firms linked to the Chinese Communist Party (some of whom have been designated by the Department of War as Chinese Military Companies), shut down CCP-sponsored cyberattacks that attempted to abuse Claude, and have advocated for strong export controls on chips to ensure a democratic advantage.
Anthropic understands that the Department of War, not private companies, makes military decisions. We have never raised objections to particular military operations nor attempted to limit use of our technology in an ad hoc manner.
However, in a narrow set of cases, we believe AI can undermine, rather than defend, democratic values. Some uses are also simply outside the bounds of what today’s technology can safely and reliably do. Two such use cases have never been included in our contracts with the Department of War, and we believe they should not be included now:
Mass domestic surveillance. We support the use of AI for lawful foreign intelligence and counterintelligence missions. But using these systems for mass domestic surveillance is incompatible with democratic values. …Fully autonomous weapons. Partially autonomous weapons, like those used today in Ukraine, are vital to the defense of democracy. Even fully autonomous weapons (those that take humans out of the loop entirely and automate selecting and engaging targets) may prove critical for our national defense. But today, frontier AI systems are simply not reliable enough to power fully autonomous weapons. We will not knowingly provide a product that puts America’s warfighters and civilians at risk. …
It is the Department’s prerogative to select contractors most aligned with their vision. But given the substantial value that Anthropic’s technology provides to our armed forces, we hope they reconsider. https://www.anthropic.com/news/statement-department-of-war
While Anthropic hopes to stop the US government from mass surveillance of citizens and AI deciding who to kill in war, such moves will happen anyway.

President Trump on Friday ordered the federal government to cease all use of Anthropic’s (ANTH.PVT) technology, the latest volley in what’s been an ongoing standoff between the company and the Department of Defense (DOD).
In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “I am directing EVERY Federal Agency in the United States Government to IMMEDIATELY CEASE all use of Anthropic’s technology. We don’t need it, we don’t want it, and will not do business with them again!”
Anthropic had been looking to put guardrails in place that would prevent the DOD from using its models for the mass surveillance of Americans or to develop fully autonomous weapons.

24. Totalitarian Steps
The 13th chapter of the Book of Revelation tells about a totalitarian leader called the Beast rising up and controlling buying and selling (cf. Revelation 13:16-18).
But he does more than that. He and the Antichrist (also, verse 11, called the “beast coming up out of the earth”) also tries to control worship:
11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. 12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. 14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. 15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. (Revelation 13:11-15)
Since COVID, governments around the world imposed new limits on buying and selling as well as travel and worship. Never in the history of humanity have so many governments imposed so many totalitarian steps so quickly. And then there was the call from Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum (WEF) for a ‘great reset’ to change society–and it is basically a totalitarian society the WEF and others are pushing for (see Is a Great Reset Coming?).
Over in Europe they are pushing for a digital identification which is expected to be used when you sign on, use your phone, buy anything, travel anywhere, etc.

Participating in society includes the ability to use a computer, communicate, buy goods, and travel, to name just a few–and the EU’s Digital Services Acts can affect all of that and more.
The globalists want to be able to monitor who is buying or saying anything.
Furthermore, if there were to be carbon passports, that would likely be tied in with your purchases so you could be monitored by some official view of how much harm your purchases cause the environment.
This is helping set the stage for the rise of the Beast who will gain power after the 4th seal of Revelation (which is the ride of the pale horse of death) is opened.
George Orwell wrote a book titled 1984 which was a novel about a society where people were surveilled by their government and not allowed to see information that the government did not want them to. Such a society is basically being prepared.
Expect to see various new totalitarian steps implemented and/or proposed in 2026.
Increased totalitarianism will grip Europe and much of the planet around the time that the USA is no more.
Many in the USA and Europe are promoting ways that will lead to more totalitarian controls.
We are getting closer to the day, with technologies unheard of when God inspired Amos and John to warn what would happen–like computers and AI–that the totalitarian Beast of Revelation will be able use to assist his 666 reign as well as enforce the coming ‘famine of the word’ of God. More governments in the world, and the EU itself, keep moving in that direction–and yes, AI is expected to be involved.
The Digital Services Act is a partial prelude to the coming ‘666’ controls the Bible prophesies in the following:
15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (Revelation 13:15-18)

Governments and globalist organizations are pushing for the implementation of tools that will help fulfill biblical prophecies on censorship and totalitarianism.
The Bible teaches that the European Beast and his supporters will put in totalitarianism beyond what most believe is now possible (cf. Revelation 13).
The USA is pushing software companies to get that type of surveillance apparatus in place.
The coming European Beast and his supporters will claim such things will help the climate, economy, security, etc. Yet, that will not end up well (cf. Revelation 11:15; 18:1-20).
Do not fall for it as it will lead to destruction and a totalitarian society.
A totalitarian system is coming.
The ONLY real solution for the problems facing humanity is repentance, the return of Jesus, and the good news of the coming Kingdom of God.
