In Luke 13:34–35, Jesus weeps over Jerusalem, lamenting that His people rejected the prophets and refused to be gathered under His protection. Yet even in His sorrow, He reveals a promise of future hope — that a time will come when they will say, “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.”
This message shows that God’s mercy and plan of salvation are not finished. Those who once turned away will one day have another opportunity to truly know Christ. God’s love and patience extend beyond human rejection — His desire is to gather His children and bring them into understanding and repentance.
