Could a comet help explain the Wormwood prophecy of Revelation 8? In this short clip, Dr Thiel examines the connection between comets, cyanogen gas, bitter water, and the biblical description of Wormwood, exploring why some believe this prophecy may point to more than an ordinary celestial event.

The Bible's description sounds to me more like a comet than an asteroid.
Why is that?
In addition to looking like a star falling from the heavens and looking like a torch, although again, when an asteroid hits the atmosphere it could do that, comets normally appear with something called cyanogen gas.
Now, astronomers state that hydrogen cyanide on comets may be the source of this cyanogen gas.
Well, interestingly, remember, it's going to hit water. When cyanogen gas mixes with water, it forms hydrogen cyanide, which has kind of an almond odour and a bitter taste.
And it reportedly causes death at concentrations over 5 parts per million. We heard that Wormwood causes the water to be bitter.
Now, for Bible sceptics, the fact that centuries before humans had any idea that comets could produce bitter water, it is recorded in the Bible. That should be additional proof for anybody willing to see that the Bible was inspired by God, because how else would the Apostle John know about this?
