From Passover to Easter?

Eostre: Goddess of the Dawn

The Bible teaches that Passover is in the evening of the 14th day of the first month of the biblical calendar. Jesus and His disciples kept His last Passover that way. The apostles, including John, and the faithful in the church kept it then. Did John write that antichrists stopped following his practices and teachings? Did the Apostle Paul warn that a little leaven affects the whole lump? Did early Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus the Christ? In the second century, because of cowardice, antisemitism, and compromise, many who had kept Passover switched the date to a Sunday--was that biblically appropriate? Might an angel have told Pius I to switch to Sunday? Church of God overseer Polycrates told Roman Bishop Victor that he, the apostles, and early saints like Polycarp would not change the date, but kept the 14th according to the gospel on the day the Jews tossed the leaven. Did it take an apparition to Gregory Thaumaturgus to disclose "the orthodox faith" or should the admonition from Jude instead be what the faithful should do? Was incorporating Greek philosophy or the allowing of merriment festivals consistent with the Bible? What does the Bible teach about combining the elements of Passover with demonic/pagan practices? Did Roman Emperor Constantine try to standardize the Sunday date to avoid any semblance to Judaism? Did Emperor Theodosius declare the death penalty for those who dared keep the biblical date of Passover? Since Easter is not in the Bible, does that name relate to the pagan goddess of the dawn known as Eostre? Any ties to Ishtar of the Babylonians? Where do colored eggs, rabbits, hot cross buns, and Easter ham come from? What about Maundy Thursday? What about Jeremiah 7 and the 'queen of heaven"? Should an early morning holiday that does not involve the taking of bread and wine as Jesus instituted be considered as Passover? Should Christians rely on "fact checkers" over the Bible? Did Catholic.org post that Roman "Catholic feasts are in continuity and fulfill the meaning of pagan ones"? Is it logical to accept going from Passover to Easter? Should Christians be concerned with a little leaven, a little sin/hypocrisy, in their lives? Dr. Thiel addresses these issues and more in this sermon.
