EU And UK Launch Digital War On America’s Tech Giants: Censorship As Trade Policy

London and Brussels are coordinating their attacks on US tech giants. Under the flimsy pretext of consumer protection, they are trying to lay the groundwork for far-reaching censorship designs through multi-billion-dollar fines.
When Germany’s Minister of State for Culture, Wolfram Weimer, delivered his verbal assault on American digital platforms last week, it got somewhat lost amid the waves of his own hypocrisy. As we now know, the minister does not think too highly of copyright rules or private property.
Aggressively Defensive
Weimer branded Meta, Google and others as digital colonizers whose business model essentially depends on exploiting the creative potential of users and monetizing it for their own profit. The political response to this supposed injustice is to be a kind of digital tax, levied nationally to put an end to this behavior. …
What we are witnessing is a theatrical performance from a technologically sidelined continent. Brussels may cast the world’s densest net of digital regulations, but in this climate, no one dares to found startups capable of competing with American or Chinese tech giants or the AI industry.
These are rearguard actions, with sprawling regulatory catalogs designed to open the gates to censorship. The goal is to prevent the rise of counterpublics on platforms like X. Publics capable of pointing out the failures of European governance, EU centralization and the growing concentration of power in Brussels.
Absurd Fines
In their economic distress and with shrinking geopolitical weight, London and Brussels have begun imposing grotesque fines on the supposed misbehavior of American tech corporations.
Apple was recently ordered by the UK’s Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT) to pay up to 1.5 billion pounds (1.75 billion euros), as the company allegedly abused market power and disadvantaged app developers through excessive commissions on in-app purchases and subscriptions between October 2015 and late 2020.
According to regulators, a commission of up to 30 percent per transaction is unjustified and restricted competition. Apple has announced it will appeal.
Apparently, the gentlemen in the “cradle of liberalism” remain unfamiliar with contractual freedom and individual sovereignty.
It is a similar picture in Brussels. The European Commission imposed a fine on Meta, the parent of Facebook and Instagram, claiming the company offers only inadequate complaint systems and tools to report illegal content like terrorist propaganda or abuse imagery.
They also accuse Meta of denying researchers access to public data and deploying dark patterns to manipulate user choices. Meta is to pay 200 million euros and show more cooperation in the future.
The Battle for Data Sovereignty
At its core, this is about giving European regulators unrestricted access to user data and internal communications processes, very much in the spirit of the proposed chat control for private users. Europe has much more in store for its citizens. …
In reality, we are witnessing another escalation of invasive policies from centralized regulatory authorities in Brussels and London. Policies that the US government under President Donald Trump is unlikely to tolerate. Transatlantic tensions are rising. This is not new. I warned about something similar, for example, back in 2018 (see Facebook and Google censorship is real and disturbing: Moves towards European 666?).
A difference now, though, is that some of this is an unintended consequence of the Donald Trump Administration and its tariffs and threats.
But even without Donald Trump, Europe has been taking steps in that direction.

The European Union is in the process of establishing the European Public Prosecutor’s Office.This is a major, first-of-its-kind move, with the EU setting up a European-wide prosecutor’s office that will have power to investigate and charge people for financial crimes committed against the EU. It looks like this type of office may end up persecuting those that do not have the mark of the Beast when they “buy or sell” as that will later be considered a financial crime in Europe. The fact is that things like the Digital Service Act are leading to censorship which will also lead to the coming ‘famine of the word’ (cf. Amos 8:11-12).

This is helping set the stage for the rise of the Beast who will gain power after the 4th seal of Revelation (which is the ride of the pale horse of death) is opened.
Expect to see various new totalitarian steps implemented and/or proposed in 2025.
Meetings in Europe are promoting ways that will lead to more totalitarian controls. Hamstringing or using USA Big Tech is part of Europe’s plan.

Globalism Conspiracy or Convergence?
In May of 2022, the World Economic Forum held a conference where thousands of the world’s elites attended, essentially in support of a ‘great reset’ to change society. In June 2022, the Bilderberg Group met essentially to do the same thing. In June 2022, Pope Francis told a group invited by Cardinal Kurt Koch, “Unity does not come about by standing still.” Whereas the Roman Catholic group, whose co-president in Marc Stengel, called for more cooperation with the United Nations and apparently supporters of Gandhi. The World Council of Churches also supports the globalist agenda as do the Freemasons and others. Could Satan be the real conspirator behind this? Will humanity be able to bring about utopia? Or can true Christian unity and utopia only come about with the return of Jesus and the Kingdom of God? Will the globalist agenda succeed for a time? Dr. Thiel addresses these and other issues.

666, the Censorship Industrial Complex, and AI
We are seeing more and more censorship, particularly on the internet. Matt Taibi has termed the coordination of this from governments, academia, Big Tech, and “fact checkers,” the ‘Censorship Industrial Complex.’ Is more censorship prophesied to happen? What did the prophet Amos write in the 5th and 8th chapter of his book? What about writings from the Apostle Peter? Is the USA government coercing censorship in violation of the first amendment to its constitution according to federal judges? What about the Digital Services Act from the European Union. Is artificial intelligence (AI) being used? What about for the video game ‘Call of Duty’? Has Google made changes that are against religious speech? Has YouTube, Facebook, Twitter (X), and others in Big Tech been censoring factually accurate information? Is the US government using AI to monitor social media to look for emotions in order to suppress information? What is mal-information? Is a famine of the word of God prophesied to come? We are getting closer to the day, with technologies unheard of when God inspired Amos and John to warn what would happen–like computers and AI–that the totalitarian Beast of Revelation will be able use to assist his 666 reign as well as enforce the coming ‘famine of the word’ of God. Some may blame Donald Trump, but this type of information control has long been something that the European Union has pushed for.
Most there do not realize that the Bible teaches that the European Beast and his supporters will put in totalitarianism beyond what most believe is now possible (cf. Revelation 13).
He and his supporters will claim to help the climate, economy, security, etc., but that will not end up well (cf. Revelation 11:15; 18:1-20).
Do not fall for it as it will lead to destruction and a totalitarian society.
A totalitarian system is coming.
The ONLY real solution for the problems facing humanity is repentance, the return of Jesus, and the good news of the coming Kingdom of God.
