Despite some internal opposition, the European Union continues to work to increase trade with other lands, triggered in part by trade policies of the Trump Administration. Notice the following related to its plans for parts of South America:

A draft resolution opposing the Mercosur trade agreement has been blocked on procedural grounds, sparking parliamentarians’ anger and putting the deal’s ratification process off to a tense start.
The administration of the European Parliament on Wednesday declared a draft resolution opposing the Mercosur deal inadmissable.
The document, signed by 145 lawmakers, called for a challenge to the highly controversial trade agreement in the EU Court of Justice in an effort to suspend its ratification process. …
The agreement between the Mercosur countries – Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay – and the EU aims to establish a transatlantic free trade zone. The political agreement was struck by the two blocs in December 2024 after 25 years of discussion; its supporters, led by Germany and Spain, hoped that it would offer the EU access to major strategic markets. …
The vote caught supporters of the deal off guard. The Port of Hamburg Monday reported an 8.4% increase in container volume from January through September as booming Asian imports and intra-Europe shipments brushed off a sharp tariff-hit drop in trade with the US.
Europe’s third-largest container port handled 6.3 million TEUs in the first nine months of 2025, with Asian trade rising 11% year over year and trade with Europe up 14%, according to a Port of Hamburg statement. EU Trade Pivot Could Ease US Tariff Pain
As the India-US trade deal hangs fire, New Delhi’s negotiations with the European Union may ultimately deliver a bigger lift — boosting exports, deepening India’s role in global supply chains and cementing ties with the West.
The talks have regained momentum, as both sides look to reduce exposure to China and hedge against an unpredictable US. The year-end deadline is ambitious, but a deal by early next year is within reach.
The EU is India’s second-largest export market, just behind the US, with relatively low average tariffs of around 5%. But the challenge for Indian exporters is the non-tariff barriers — from technical standards to environmental and sustainability rules.
A free trade agreement would make India’s exports more competitive, especially as rivals like Vietnam and Bangladesh enjoy preferential tariffs in the EU. Pushing tariffs and other policies that foreign nations do not like is contributing to other nations looking to bypass the USA dollar, as well as trade more with each other and less with the USA. This will further push various globalist’s moves forward without the USA. This is also helping set the stage for the coming European Babylonian Beast to dominate international trade.

Such deals have been happening. But expect more concrete action, at least partially because of the reelection of Donald Trump, along with J.D. Vance.
Europe will reach out to various ones in Asia and Africa, as well as Latin America. In the next several years, deals and more trade will occur with Africa, Asia, and Latin America. …
The Europeans will work with many nations to secure stronger trade agreements.
The Europeans already resent the deal. Furthermore, they have a different understanding of the deal than the USA does.
Things will not turn out as Donald Trump hopes (cf. Daniel 11:39).
