While the term Protestant first came about in 1529, some Protestant scholars have called Marcion of Pontus the first Protestant. Was he faithful? What did he teach? Did he teach doctrines of antichrist? Are the Ten Commandments a burden? Were the Ten Commandments nailed to the cross? Did Martin Luther write that the Ten Commandments should be kept? Who is a Christian? Who receives the Holy Spirit? Can one receive the grace of God in vain? What is grace? Is God's grace going to be limited only to a relative few? Is faith without works dead? Are Christians saved by grace or works? What are Christians saved for? What is character? How does one build character? What about faith and self-control? Dr. Thiel addresses this and more in this second part of a multipart series on how the Continuing Church of God differs from Protestant beliefs.
