This is the third part of a 3-part series covering each and every verse of the Apostle Paul’s first epistle to Timothy. In this sermon, Dr. Thiel covers the fifth and sixth chapters of Paul’s letter. Paul discusses the treatment of older men, older women, younger men, and younger women. He also discusses family responsibilities to financially assist widows. He also explains which widows are entitled to be, and not to be, financially supported by the church. Ministerial right to compensation is discussed. Dr. Thiel explains what the Continuing Church of God spends its tithes and other donations on as well as what it does not spend money on. Paul's admonition to Timothy to drink a little wine is discussed as is supporting poor brethren in places like Africa. Scriptures related to work and idleness are discussed. A lot of information from the Bible, as well as the Church of God in the 20th century, related to godliness is discussed. Deification, salvation, eternal life, soul sleep, and immortality are commented upon. Free eBooks on church history and the age to come are offered. The focus Jesus gave, the admonition not to worry, and that true Christians should engage in daily Bible study is emphasized. Wealth and related matters are also mentioned. Dr. Thiel quotes scriptures and others explaining why Christians should not be deceived by that which is called science or knowledge from the world. Grace is mentioned in the middle of the sermon and at the end.
