As expected, Donald Trump has announced that he intends to run for the presidency of the USA:

November 16, 2022

Trump made the announcement, with political aides and supporters at his side, at his oceanside Mar-a-Lago retreat in the southern state of Florida, his wintertime home since he left Washington as his White House tenure ended in January of last year.

Trump is facing political headwinds, however, as he looks to rejoin the seemingly nonstop U.S. political fray, beyond his constant political commentary and disparagement of Biden’s administration over the last 22 months.

Trump told his supporters Tuesday that when he left office, the country was “ready for its golden age.”

“But now we are a nation in decline,” Trump said. “We are a failing nation. For millions of Americans, the past two years under Joe Biden have been a time of pain, hardship, anxiety and despair.”

He has blamed Biden for the country’s high inflation rate, an unending stream of undocumented migrants crossing the southwestern U.S. border with Mexico and said that Russian President Vladimir Putin would not have invaded Ukraine last February if he were still the U.S. leader.

Shortly after Trump’s announcement, Biden tweeted a video with clips from Trump’s presidency, saying his predecessor made economic policy that favored the rich, coddled extremists and attacked the rights of women.

“Donald Trump failed America,” Biden said. https://www.voanews.com/a/trump-set-to-announce-third-presidential-campaign-/6835858.html

Both Donald Trump and Joe Biden have “failed America.”

I consider that both Donald Trump and Joe Biden are evil.

Without going into unique specifics about either, let’s consider how they are both similar:

  1. Neither lives like a member of their professed faiths is supposed to try to live.

  2. Both support LGBTQ rights.

  3. Both have repeatedly supported increasing US debt.

  4. Both have publicly made numerous gaffes and misstatements.

  5. Both are white septuagenarians who have been accused of openly praising white supremacists. (https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2019/03/joe-biden-donald-trump-similarities-2020.html)

  6. Both have called for unchecked empowerment of law-enforcement entities.

  7. Both have been accused of sexually harassing numerous women.

  8. Neither has called for national repentance.

  9. Neither has sought first the Kingdom of God.

  10. Both have been leaders in Administrations that have upset the Europeans.

  11. Both have been accused of hypocrisy.

Now, I am not trying to say that there are no differences. Yes, I know they have differing economic and climate policies as well as different views on abortion, immigration, and racial matters.

As far as being hypocritical goes, the Book of Job teaches:

13 … And the hope of the hypocrite shall perish, (Job 8:13)

The Bible prophecy warns that God will punish and destroy “an hypocritical nation” (Isaiah 10:6, KJV) in a prophecy related to the USA.

The Bible teaches:

1 Cry aloud, spare not;
Lift up your voice like a trumpet;
Tell My people their transgression,
And the house of Jacob their sins. (Isaiah 58:1)

These national sins include abortion, sexuality immorality, promoting pornography, false witness, violence, economic theft through debt and other means, hypocrisy, disdain for the God of the Bible, covetousness, and a host of others.

Here are some statements from Donald Trump’s announcement:

November 15, 2022

“”In order to make America great and glorious again, I am tonight announcing my candidacy for president of the United States,” Trump said to loud cheers by supporters at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach. …

“Inflation is the highest in over 50 years, gas prices have reached the highest level in history, and expect them to go higher.”  …

“Now we have a president who falls asleep at global conferences.”

“We are here tonight to declare it does not have to be this way.”

“Soon we will be a great nation again.”

“I believe the American people will reject the left’s platform of national ruin and will embrace our platform of national greatness and glory.” https://www.wnd.com/2022/11/watch-trump-announcing-plans-2024/

No, Donald Trump, without national repentance, which is not expected and not something you or Joe Biden has ever called for, the USA is doomed.

America, while having ups and downs, you will not be able to make it great.

Some have speculated that another Donald Trump presidency will mean the end (e.g. https://www.unz.com/article/will-donald-trump-bring-on-the-end-of-history/).

Donald Trump will not stop the decline of the USA.

But yes, Joe Biden and those who promote abortion, the LGBTQ+ agenda, etc. are evil.

The Bible warns:

20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil (Isaiah 5:20).

The “lesser of two evils” is still not good.

I am NOT a voter nor a Democrat nor a MAGA (or any any other type of) Republican –I am a non-partisan Christian looking for the return of Jesus and the establishment of the Kingdom of God.

Consider that Jesus warned:

25 Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. (Matthew 12:25)

17 Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house divided against a house falls. (Luke 11:17)

The divide in the USA is growing as many of its sins (including hypocrisy) become more blatant.

Donald Trump is divisive. Joe Biden is divisive (even though Joe Biden campaigned to reduce the division–in may ways he has increased it). The Democrats are divided about Joe Biden seeking re-election and the Republicans are divided about Donald Trump’s candidacy.

Related Donald Trump and Joe Biden and the then upcoming 2020 election, the Continuing Church of God (CCOG) put together the following video on our Bible News Prophecy YouTube channel:

Biden, Trump, and the Bible

The USA presidential campaign is in full swing. Though Democratic party candidate Joe Biden and Republican party candidate Donald Trump have differing economic and climate policies as well as different views on abortion and racial matters, there are many similarities both share. Do they have policies that they share that are leading to the destruction of the USA? What do Bible prophecies reveal about sexual immorality, debt, and hypocrisy? What are some of the national sins of the USA? Does the Bible endorse voting? What did Jesus teach related to what to seek and pray for? What does the New Testament teach that Christians are to do related to leaders? Is the lesser of two evils still evil? Dr. Thiel goes over these matters, including going over eleven similarities the two major party candidates share and some of what the Bible teaches about evil.

Here is a link to our sermonette video: Biden, Trump, and the Bible.

Supporting evil is not the solution for Christians.

Those who are truly part of the Philadelphia remnant will go forward to fulfill Jesus’ commissions in Matthew 24:14 and 28:19-20. They will also support the preparation for the short work of Romans 9:25-28 as well as work to reach the Jews and the full number of Gentiles as recorded in Romans 11:23-25.

As I wrote before Joe Biden took office, the end will NOT come in the first term of a Biden-Harris Administration.

But what may happen during the next presidential term, whether the winner of the 2024 election be Joe Biden, Donald Trump, or someone else?

IF certain steps happen in the next year or two (like the confirmation of the deal of Daniel 9:27), and:

  1. If as the School of Elijah taught, that God inspired Elijah to state that the world as we have known it would last 6,000 years, to be followed by a thousand year sabbatical time, which Jewish tradition (Talmud, Tractate Sanhedrin [97a]) and early Christian traditions records (e.g. Irenaeus, a hearer of Polycarp. Adversus haereses, Book V, Chapter 30:4), then we are getting close to the end of that time.

  2. And if, consistent with scriptures in both the Old and New Testaments, we can apply the concept that a thousand years is as a day to God (Psalm 90:4; 2 Peter 3:8).

  3. And if, as generally understood in the Church of God that Jesus was killed and resurrected no later than the Spring of 31 A.D. on Passover (though some suspect 33 A.D. may be possible).

  4. And if we can presume that the “last days” of a 7,000 year prophetic week began AFTER the middle day (day 4), then the last days prior to the “sabbatical” time, which some would refer to as the millennial Kingdom of God would last two thousand years.

  5. And if when Peter referred to being in the last days (Acts 2:17-18) and since Hebrews 1:1-12 teaches that “God … has in these last days spoken to us by His Son.”

  6. Then adding 2,000 years to a period of time leads to the end of the 6,000 years no later than 2031 – 2033.

  7. Since the Great Tribulation is expected to start 3 1/2 years prior to that (cf. Revelation 12:14; 13:5) subtracting 3 1/2 years from the Spring of 2031 would be late in 2027.

  8. Understand that the U.S.A. is prophesied to be taken over near the rise of the Beast and start of the Great Tribulation (cf. Daniel 11:39; Jeremiah 30:7; Matthew 24:21-22).

  9. Therefore, since the end of the next full U.S.A. presidential term would end in January of 2029, the prophetic understandings, if 31 A.D. was the year of the resurrection, point to the end of the U.S.A. by 2028.

  10. This is also consistent with certain Roman Catholic prophetic writings as well.

  11. By virtue of timing, whoever is in office in the 2025-2029 presidential term (and it could be more than one person) will take steps which will result in the end of the USA. The USA is prophesied in the Bible to be conquered and defeated (e.g. Daniel 11:39).

It looks like from certain Jewish, biblical, Christian, and Roman Catholic perspectives (and yes others associated with those faiths have other opinions), that the end of the U.S.A. may well happen by 2028.

We also made a video:

Is the USA prophesied to be destroyed by 2028?

Are there prophetic reasons to believe that the USA will not last two complete presidential terms? Yes. There is a tradition attributed to the Hebrew prophet Elijah that humanity had 6,000 years to live before being replaced by God’s Kingdom. There are scriptures, writings in the Talmud, early Christian teachings that support this. Also, even certain Hindu writings support it.

Here is a link to the video: Is the USA prophesied to be destroyed by 2028?

Repentance could delay the disaster coming to the USA (cf. Daniel 4:27)–but that is not expected.

Both Joe Biden and Donald Trump have upset the Europeans. With Donald Trump announcing his candidacy, this will upset the Europeans–they will take steps to distance themselves from the USA and strengthen their military.

Without national repentance, the end of America is coming very soon no matter what party wins the USA 2024 presidential election.

Destruction is coming to the USA–as well as its British-descended allies (UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand)–and it will be worse than most people will believe.
