Dr. Thiel goes through some of the history of what occurred in the seventeenth through twentieth centuries. This includes the emergence of the Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea eras of the true church. It also includes discussions of some of the history of non-Church of God groups such as the Seventh Day Baptists, and the Seven-day Adventists. Loma Armstrong's 1917 dream and the realization of the first part of it with Herbert W. Armstrong was discussed. Truths CG7 lost, 18 restored truths, and some of the apostasy under Joseph Tkach, Sr. is covered. The purpose of the church is also discussed, including the need to proclaim the good news of the Kingdom of God to the world as a witness.
